Direct-Lynx

Direct - Lynx

Ulster County is launching a comprehensive web based screening and linkage system, Direct-Lynx, to assist youth-serving agencies and schools identify and refer vulnerable young people in need of substance abuse services in an efficient manner.

Direct-Lynx is an innovative process that combines the Problem Oriented Screening Instrument (POSIT+) with a web hosted virtual directory of resources called Direct-Connect.

Research shows that timeliness of problem identification and referral to services is essential for successful interventions.  Through the use of this tool, organizations and agencies will be able to effectively identify youth and link them to appropriate services, resulting in favorable, community-wide outcomes.
