Dutchess County ATP/MHJJ Project

Mental Health/Juvenile Justice (MHJJ) is a collaboration between Dutchess County Probation and Astor Services for Children, and the Dutchess County Department of Mental Hygiene. This collaboration is working together with families to provide services to help youth remain in the community and avoid an out of home placement. Youth served in this program are involved with probation, have mental health issues and work with a team to move their life in a more positive direction. The MH/JJ team is made up of a Probation Officer, case manager and therapist. The program includes some wrap around funds that can be used to enhance program services and to provide “concrete supports” for youth and families. Dutchess County MH/JJ is funded by NYS Office of Children and Families (OCFS).
